Our Story

Tommy White Supply began in 1968 as a small wellhead refurbishing shop in Midland. In those early years, the shop was just Tommy, a truck, and a belief that if a customer called for help, he had to answer.

The oilfield does not run 9 to 5, and neither did Tommy. He became known for loading up parts and tools late at night and heading out to the field to get a well back online. Sometimes his family would ride along, just to keep him company and make sure he stayed awake on the long drives.

Tommy built the business the way he lived his life – as a hardworking family man who believed in showing up for others. He was driven to provide for his family, to help his neighbors, and to run his business in a way that gave credit and glory to God for every success. That quiet strength and faith became part of what customers admired most about him: he was the kind of man people respected, trusted, and wanted to work with.

That commitment to service set TWS apart from the beginning. Customers trusted Tommy not because he was the biggest shop in town, but because they knew he would show up, even if it meant a midnight call on a Sunday. That reputation spread across the Permian Basin and laid the foundation for everything that came next.

As the industry grew, so did TWS. In the 1970s and 1980s, Tommy expanded beyond refurbishing, keeping shelves stocked with hardware and industrial supplies so customers would not have to wait on shipments. By the 1990s, the business had added a valve shop and broadened its wellhead capabilities. In the 2000s, pump shops in Midland and Odessa were established, giving customers local options for repair and rebuilds.

Through every decade, one thing stayed the same: the principle Tommy built his business on – when the oilfield calls, you answer.

Today, more than 50 years later, Tommy White Supply is still family-driven at its core, with a team that carries forward the same belief that built the company. Whether it is an independent contractor or a major operator, customers know that TWS will be there, day or night, with the parts, service, and people they can count on.
